A transformative year.
For more than 30 years Lauriston has led the way in experiential and outdoor learning. Our Howqua campus, set in the spectacular Victorian High Country, offers a unique year-long program for girls in Year 9 that is pivotal to their transformation into confident, resilient and independent young women ready to shape their future.
Howqua delivers a robust curriculum with core and elective subjects, and teachers make the most of the natural environment to enrich learning. Technology is used deliberately and minimally, only to enhance learning, allowing girls to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
The jewel in the Howqua crown is the Outdoor Program, two days each week of adventure and challenge. Students hike, ski, mountain bike and horse ride, gradually building fitness, confidence and resilience as well as developing leadership and collaboration skills.
Howqua is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It fosters a deeper understanding of self, creates lifelong friendships and connections, and equips girls with the maturity and courage to embrace life beyond the classroom.
